New season!  New Look!
Will you be changing your look for autumn?

Well, so much for the weatherman telling us that we could expect an Indian Summer this year.  We haven’t seen any sign of it yet, have you?

While we mourn the end of summer, part of us can’t wait for Autumn to roll around as a new season always means that it’s time for a brand new look!  If you’ve been sunning yourself abroad this summer, the chances are that your hair is in need of a bit of TLC first though.

Kimberley WalshAll that time in the sun and sea can leave hair frazzled and the colour looking dull, so the first step is to nourish and repair with an intensive conditioning treatment.  This doesn’t have to mean expensive hair masks though – you can achieve amazing results by slathering on your normal conditioner after washing your hair and leaving it to soak in to your hair.  Supersoft Yoghurt & Coconut Smoothie Conditioner is a miracle worker, and Girls Aloud beauty Kimberley Walsh is a big fan.  Leave the conditioner on for fifteen minutes and then rinse thoroughly with cool water to reveal silky soft and shiny hair.

Now that your hair is in better condition, it’s time to sort out your colour.  Hair colour expert and Schwarzkopf ambassador Anita Cox-McMillan tells us what the key looks are for the new season;

“With the catwalks this year showing lots of groomed and polished looks, the key trend this autumn is ultra glossy hair colour. Darker colours with warm tones will be hugely popular too so try Schwarzkopf Palette home hair colour in 850 Mocha Brown for a gorgeous rich brunette colour.  Not only will this colour give you an on-trend look, but all-over colour is easy to maintain by following the regrowth coverage method.

“For lighter bases, toners are being used to give a nice finish to all-over hair colour while those opting for blonde highlights should try using the Schwarzkopf BlondeMe range to really set off the shine for another key autumn look.”

So while summer saw lots of pastel and ‘ice-cream’ shades, autumn is all about rich, vibrant colours – the shinier the better!  Will you be changing your look for autumn?  We want to hear about it!  Why not leave us a comment below and let us know what you think the big hair trends for autumn will be?

    I will be using the XXL Live Cyber Purple tomorrow, very excited to see how it turns out! Always good to have a change, try to do it every season! I plan to go lighter in the spring and summer then, feel too pale to pull of a caramac at the mo!
