Growing Old Grey-cefully?

Love Hair Colour was lucky enough to attend the Help For Heroes concert last Sunday. We danced and sang our socks off to the likes of Pixie Lott and The Saturdays, not to mention bearing witness to the long overdue reunion between Gary & Robbie – it took us right back to checked shirts, Sun-In disasters and polo neck days circa. 1993. However as hair colour connoisseurs, it was our favourite Welsh-crooner Tom Jones who caught our eye and sparked a debate as to whether you can be too old to dye?

With the search for the holy grail of un-aged beauty being top of most celeb’s ‘must-do’ list, it’s no surprise that our Welsh warbler dabbled in pitch-black hair dye and lashings of fake tan in order to hold back the hands of time. But thank goodness he saw the light! We think most would agree that he looks much more handsome and distinguished now that he’s a silver fox. So was he too old to dye? Should there be a ‘use-by’ date on hair dye, admitting defeat to grandfather time, and putting down the bottle?

Matt Le BlancAdding further fuel to our debate lovely Matt Le Blanc then came along (bit.ly/9XH4FB) with his salt and pepper locks, admitting that he dyed his hair throughout the entire series of Friends. Can you imagine our loveably goofy Joey with grey hair? We think not! It just wouldn’t work – he’d look all wise and worldly – something the eternal 20-something Joey is most definitely not! Like Matt, young ladies at LoveHairColour Towers are victim to the “premature” sprouting of wiry grey hairs and agree that the only course of action is to dye their hair. So equally should a “best before” date be included on packs of dye, should grey hair be banned before the age of 40rs?

What do you think? Are you 30, grey and proud? Or are you 50 and fighting the white!  Join the debate and let us know!
