LIVE COLOR XXL TAKES THE CROWN AT THE HAIR AWARDS 2010

Last night, we slipped on our frocks and teased our locks to get ready for the annual Hair Awards run by the fabulous Hair magazine.  Arriving at Vinyl Factory in the heart of London’s Soho, we had everything crossed hoping that LIVE Color XXL would take the Best Permanent Colour crown.

Schwarzkopf GlissAwards like this mean a lot to us.  We believe in our product 100%, but it’s always fantastic when we get recognition like this from someone else – especially when it’s from one of the leading consumer hair magazines in the country!  As we stood among some of the biggest names in the hair industry today, sipping our bubbly and sampling the teeny-but-oh-so-moreish canapés, we couldn’t help feeling nervous as we waited to find out the winners…

Well, we weren’t disappointed!  Not only did LIVE Color XXL win Best Permanent Colour, but Schwarzkopf’s Gliss Liquid Silk Express Repair Conditioner took the title of Best High Street Conditioner Under £5!  Time for a glass of celebratory champagne we think!

Live Colour XXLAfter T4’s Rick Edwards and Jameela Jamil had announced the final winners, everyone took to the dancefloor to celebrate their wins. Paloma Faith took to the decks to be our DJ for the night, looking every inch the starlet in a floor length black dress.  We loved her headphones in the shape of a glamorous red stiletto!

Thanks again to Hair magazine for putting on such a fab event, and for voting for LIVE Color XXL and Gliss Liquid Silk Express Repair Conditioner in their Hot 100 Hair Products of the year.  Here’s to 2011!

  • i’ve blow dryed/ straightened my hair pretty much every day since i was 12 and now i am 18 so my hair is heat damaged and kinda frizzy! it’s really thick too but mine is straight. i use redken heat glide on my wet hair a long with got2be tipsy split end mender.. i use quite a lot of both of these and it tames the frizz a lot. i also use all soft shampoo /condition by redken. it makes it so so soft! i use a diffuser on my blow dryer the cone lookin thing that goes on the end. then i straighten and that helps the frizz to go down after.
