Hot New Hair Looks From London Fashion Week
2010
Front Row Favourites
Now that London Fashion Week has drawn to a close, we can’t wait to try out some of the hot new hair looks seen on the catwalks this year. These celebs have already nailed our favourite runway styles…
This year’s front rows saw casual hair looks beating off couture styles, with SJP leading the way. Falling on just the right side of messy, the SATC star worked a glamorously disheveled high pony.
To get the look, pull your hair back in to as high a ponytail as you dare, then pull a few tendrils loose – the look is scraped back but slightly scruffy. Give your pony some oomph with a bit of backcombing, then finish with a spritz of volumising hairspray – try got2b ‘2Sexy’ from Schwarzkopf, with collagen lift effect to keep it big and bouncing all day.
Kate pulled off a more polished look than usual at her Longchamp party. She sported locks in this season’s warm caramel shade, with a full-bodied blow dry and gorgeously glossy finish.
To get the look, use Supersoft Volumising Mousse on towel-dried hair before blow-drying with a large barrel brush on high heat, pulling the brush downwards for gentle waves. For added shimmer, finish with a shine spray like got2b ‘Sparkling’.
Love Kate’s colour? Blondes can warm up for winter with Palette in 400 natural blonde.
Braids were all over the catwalks this season and as usual Gwen Stefani was well ahead of the trend. Appearing at her L.A.M.B. show in New York, her trademark platinum tresses were fashioned into this elaborate up-do.
To get the look, fix hair into a side parting and pull the front section into two fishbone plaits. Secure with grips above the ear and clip the rest of the hair up in sections – don’t worry about keeping it neat, though, messy works best for this quirky style. Pull a few strands loose from the plaits and around the ears to keep it looking pretty and natural, then fix into place with Supersoft Maximum Hold hairspray.
The Czech model and former Victoria’s Secret Angel stole the show at Chanel’s dinner for Karl Lagerfeld with honey waves and bold red lips. She shunned the ‘bigger is better’ volumising phenomenon in favour of a softer style that’s set to be huge this autumn.
To get the look, blow dry hair keeping it flat at the roots, then add a few loose waves using medium barreled tongs through the mid lengths and ends. Use a texturising spray to give the waves depth and keep them in place – try got2b ‘Sparkling’ fixing gel spray for added shine too.
