It’s official – red-headed women are THE hottest property as 72% of British men admit to fancying a bit of flame-haired fun. Not since Jessica Rabbit first shimmied onto our screens have red-heads been considered so sexy according to the UK male population.

Our Hot Red survey proves that men too have cottoned onto the flame-haired fashion, which has seen high profile female celebs colouring copper and red hair colour flying off the shelves in recent weeks. Apparently 1.4m UK women went red over the last 6 months, and our aptly named LIVE Color XXL Red Passion is the UK’s No 1 selling red shade!

To find out exactly what the male population thought about this red hot trend, we asked 2,000 UK men aged 18-35yrs how attractive they found fiery-haired females. When asked about their celebrity copper-top crushes, Doctor Who star Karen Gillen came out as the favorite among younger men (18-24yrs), while Isla Fisher sets the pulse racing for 25-34yr olds. Continuing on the celebrity trend, 40% of British men aged 18-24 would rather snog Scarlett Johansson as the red-headed Black Widow in Iron Man 2, than her Lost in Translation alter-ego. Surprisingly, 31% couldn’t quite make up their minds!

Tecian women of the East Midlands should watch out as our survey showed that a whopping 81% of Midland men fancy redheads. And much like a vintage Bordeaux, it appears red-head appreciation increases with age. 31% of younger men aged 18-24 said they found red-heads the most fiery/passionate rising to 53% among men aged 35yrs.
